Broad Job Summary :

We are looking for well qualified and experienced school counsellors with a passion to work with learners and a commitment to contributing towards learners’ academic success, personality, life skill development and holistic wellbeing.

The school counsellor’s responsibilities include conducting assessments to evaluate students’ abilities, assisting students with career planning, and ensuring students have all the tools to become productive and well-adjusted adults.

Key area of responsibilities: 

• Co-create/develop and implement lesson plans that align with school’s curriculum, academic standards and overall philosophy and vision of the school.
• Coordinate with partner organisation for implementation of sessions as per agreements.
• Develop and deliver engaging and interactive lessons for the learners.
• Create inclusive learning environment that supports student engagement and achievement.
• Plan and conduct age appropriate activities and workshops to create awareness on important topics for physical, social and psychological well-being of the learners
• Assess students’ progress regularly and provide feedback to parents and leadership team of the school.
• Proactive participation in school events and beyond academic activities as needed.
• Keen interest in professional development activities to stay updated with best practices.

Educational Qualifications : 

Masters or MPhil in Clinical Psychology/ Counselling Psychology.

Other Skills :

• Candidate should have understanding and exposure to conducting evaluation, assessments and counselling skills
• Exposure to working with school children as part of internship or project will be added advantage but not a constraint
• Should be a dynamic team player with good interpersonal skills, good communication skills, enthusiastic and committed to work with children and adolescents.

Computer skills:

Basic to intermediate with working knowledge in MS office, Power Point.

Work Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in reputed schools.
